Battery Replacement on MacBook Pro (Late 2011)

My Problem

Original battery started to swell which affected the track pad.

My Fix

I watched the video on how to change the battery before buying the new one. The battery, spudger and screwdrivers arrived within a few days and replacing it took less than five minutes. It was easier than I thought it would be.

My Advice

Don't be afraid to do repairs that are fairly simple and straight forward. IFIXIT provides all the support and and technical assistance you need with written instructions, video and live person assistance. Even if you think a repair is beyond your capability, I suggest contacting contacting IFIXIT before taking your device in for repair.
