My Problem
My sink went rogue and started shooting water up to my ceiling. I was on the phone talking through the speaker and it was on the counter so I grabbed it to save it - wet hands, dropped phone, screen went black. Hours of trying to open my phone with nails and wires and earring posts - UGG - Ifixit to the rescue.
My Fix
After I got my kit, I removed the screws and opened my phone without a hitch. Fixed my problem (thanks YouTube) and was able to reinstall the original screws - saving the extra screws for the next emergency; I wouldn't want to be in that situation again.
My Advice
Don't waste time trying to dream up solutions that already exist. Don't bother driving 30 miles and waiting for the Apple store to open. Go to ifixit.com and find your solution, order it, relax and get your solution delivered to your door. Viola! Love ifixit.com!!!
