Not the right part if your volume switch is broken

My Problem

My volume down button had stopped working, so I ordered a new button

My Fix

The repair wasn't tricky, but the button is just a metal part. Replacing it won't fix a switch that's not responding.

My Advice

Only buy the button itself to replace if the outside metal is visibly damaged. This guide will not help you if the problem is with the underlying switch.
