Another wifi antenna casualty during screen replacement

My Problem

After cutting the wifi antenna wire while removing the broken ipad screen, I learned that this happens to almost every first time repairer.

My Fix

The connector is the size of the head of a pin, so be prepared for some frustration. Once connected, it was just a matter of lining up the mounting holes with the holes in the iPad and getting the screws in place. That wasn't bad since the screwdriver was magnetized.

My Advice

It will happen to you, so wherever you order the screen (aka digitizer) from, go ahead and spring for the wifi antenna. The iFixit antenna actually improved performance over the original antenna, but I wouldn't replace the original antenna just for that.
