Quick, easy repair that actually sped up my computer

My Problem

My Macbook began beaching balling a few months ago and eventually showed the question mark folder on startup. I swapped out my drive to test and discovered that the cable was broken (rather than the drive itself) so I bought a cable on iFixit, received it real quick, and fixed the problem in less than 10 minutes. I even got a small speed boost. Thanks!

My Fix

Repair was quick and easy. Took around 10 minutes (maybe less) Followed the guide on iFixit and was back and running in no time. On top of that I noticed a small speed boost since my broken cable was degrading performance.

My Advice

Don't jump to the worst case conclusion. Im glad I didn't go out and buy a $200 hard drive to fix a problem that was only a $50 fix.
