Cracked LED panel on a Macbook retina display

My Fix

Purchased a replacement display from eBay, Purchased the recommended tools for this job from ifixit, followed the step by step guide from ifixit and it turned out perfect.

My Advice

I have used ifixit for several repairs including iPhone screen and button replacements. The step by step guide with pictures is the way to go. My advice is to give yourself time for the project, plan on starting and finishing the job in one sitting. Clear a space to work, lay down a light colored towel to work on. it keeps tiny screws from bouncing off a table and makes them easier to find when and if they do drop. and take your time, reread the instructions making sure you know what you are going to do before you act.
