My Problem
My hard drive cable broke, which is the second time in the last year that this has happened to me. Thankfully, this time around, I was right in assuming that just the cable broke and not the hard drive itself (I confirmed this theory by taking my hd out and putting it into a hard drive reader). And, this time I knew right what to do.
My Fix
Ordered the cable on a Tuesday night and got it on Thursday. Took my less than five minutes to switch it out (though, it would have been shorter if I wouldn't have forgot to plug the battery back in BEFORE screwing the back plate on.)
My Advice
Wish I knew why my my Mac seems to be going through hd cables so fast. Does anyone else have this problem with an early/late 2011 Macbook Pro? Oh well, iFixit made it a quick repair. Now just hoping this cable will last longer than a year...
