My Problem

Was running out of hard drive space on both of my stock hard drives. External drives were too slow. I run OSX on one drive, and Windows on the other, and wanted to drop in two larger drives.

My Fix

Fantastic.

This job was a lot easier than I thought.

Removal of the screen was simple with the provided suction cups. The screen is held in place by high powered magenets which were annoying when removing the screws that mounted the monitor into the chassis.

I discovered I didn't need the dual drive kit to upgrade my SSD as the wiring harness was already there and in place (DUH)... I had ordered it -just in case-

The new 2.5" SSD drive replaced the stock 2.5" SSD perfectly, and the old SSD was moved to where the HDD was, with a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter.

everything went back together easily. no problems. Restored from Time machine backup. did a fresh install of windows 8 on one drive and a recovery install of OSX on the other.

My Advice

Was almost too easy.
