Moderate

My Problem

My MacBook Pro one day stopped turning on. I got the "?" on the startup, I tried all the tricks to start but it never worked. I replaced the hard drive with another one and tried to install Mac OS X, that's when I realized computer did not see a hard drive at all.

Located the part in iFixit which I hoped and thought would be the cable.

My Fix

Parts (hard drive cable) arrived with no problems on the expected day, I followed the instructions. (I did not remove the battery as it was kind of optional).

It was really simple and it WORKED! My MacBook Pro is back on being operational and running.

It took me 10 minutes to go through the steps and put everything back together. Really simple steps that everybody can follow.

My Advice

I ordered the screwdriver for the battery removal which I did not use. But it is nice to have that tool anyway. So I don't have much advice. It is a simple cable replacement operation.
