My Problem

My son's iphone 4 screen was shattered.

My Fix

I ordered a replacement screen from another online source. You could tell right away it was a cheaper replacement screen. The flex cables were paper thin and really flimsy. After installing, the touch function did not work at all. I opened it back up and sure enough the flex cable had ripped. I didn't even bother with returning it. I found a repair guide on iFixit and searched the forum for others who had a similar problem. While doing this I found out that iFixit sells replacement screens and we're highly recommended. I placed the order and it was shipped very quickly, in professional packaging. I immediately noticed the higher quality flex cables and started my repair by following the guide on iFixit. Needless to say, I have one extremely happy son with a practically new iphone thanks to iFixit.

My Advice

Spend the couple extra bucks for the quality that comes from iFixit. Itll save you time and a headache in the long run.
