Moderate

My Problem

One of the fans in my MacBook Pro 15" 2011 sounded like a weed whacker every time I started up my computer. The fan was off its base slightly and the noise made it impossible to use my computer for anything.

My Fix

The new fan works wonderfully. One of the wires looked to be crossed over on the pin that connected to the motherboard; however, once installed it worked wonders. My computer is once again silent and useable.

My Advice

Don't be thrown if one of the wires is crossed. As long as you know what you're doing - or you have a tech-savy boyfriend who does - you shouldn't run into any problems.
