My Problem
I bought a supposedly new iPhone 4 from a vendor on Amazon to replace a lost iPhone 5s which is on contract till next November with Verizon. After activating the iPhone 4 I noticed that there was a issue with the battery life. I then downloaded iBackupBot for iTunes and then realized that the battery cycle count was at 278 and the battery was probably 3 years old as per the manufacture date of the iPhone. Instead of deactivating the iPhone 4 and sending it back and reactive an old LG cosmos. I figured it be easier to change the battery on the iPhone 4 since the phone itself appears to working properly.
My Fix
The repair is very simple. I reviewed the the instructions and video on ifixit. The whole replacement process took less than 10 minutes.
My Advice
Have a well lighted work area and review the instructions and just take your time.
