My Problem

On my MacBook Pro 13'' early 2011 I was experiencing problems with the new Samsung SSD disks (840 PRO 512Gb and 840 EVO 1Tb). They were not recognised or they could be recognised but were not working well (continuous spinning wheel and freezed system).

My Fix

The replacement was very simple, not much more complicated than replacing the drive itself, which I did many times already. After the replacement the disk (Samsung 840 EVO 1Tb) immediately started working perfectly. So the problem was really the old cable!

My Advice

For everyone experiencing problems with SSD drives on early 2011 MBP, I strongly suggest to try the SATA cable replacement.

I paid the fastest shipping but was actually not necessary, since it was faster than expected, and the normal one would have probably been enough.
