My Problem

My Problem

IO Board broke because pB dropped on the magsafe plug ;; ripped the connecters of the IO Board & blew some circuit.

My Fix

Part arrived before promised ship date; with the on-line guide replaced the board; reset PRAM and SMC and all is fine again. Very smooth dealing with Ifixit ... kudos' !!

My Advice

My Problem

Went to plug in the magsafe adapter into the MBP and got a juicy static electric discharge at the connector. Battery would not charge even though it continued to work off the power it was supplying.
