Dell Inspiron 1526 Battery Replacement

Introduction

The Dell Inspiron 1526 has an external battery that does not require the removal of the back casing. This is a one step guide to walk through the process of removing a defective battery. No special tools are required since Dell has included a slide that releases the battery. Remove the battery if you are going to do any other work on the device as well. Be sure to unplug the battery prior to battery removal.

What you need

    • Slide the unlock button to the left to release the battery.

    • Slide the battery away from the laptop to remove.

    • The unlock button is located on the bottom of the laptop.
