Flip the multimeter over so that the kickstand side is facing up.

Swing the kickstand up all the way.

Use a Phillips screwdriver to loosen the single screw securing the battery cover.

Swing the bottom edge of the battery cover out from the multimeter.

Lift and remove the battery cover.
