Unfasten Battery

Introduction

This is a prerequisite-only guide! This guide is part of another procedure and isn't meant to be used alone.

What you need

  1. Unfasten Battery, Unfasten the display cable bracket: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the display cable bracket:

    • Four 1.1 mm-long screws

    • One 2.0 mm-long screw

    • Use tweezers, or your fingers, to remove the display cable bracket.

  3. Unfasten Battery, Disconnect the SIM card reader: step 3, image 1 of 2 Unfasten Battery, Disconnect the SIM card reader: step 3, image 2 of 2

    • Use a spudger to pry up and disconnect the SIM card reader cable press connector.

  5. Unfasten Battery, Reposition the SIM card reader cable: step 4, image 1 of 2 Unfasten Battery, Reposition the SIM card reader cable: step 4, image 2 of 2

    • The SIM card reader cable is lightly adhered to the battery.

    • Use tweezers, or your fingers, to peel the SIM card reader cable away from the battery connector.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 1.7 mm-long screw securing the battery connector to the logic board.

    • Use a spudger to pry up and disconnect the two top display cable press connectors.

    • Use a spudger to pry up and disconnect the two bottom display cable press connectors.

    • Remove the screen.
