TomTom Go 60 S Speaker Replacement

Introduction

If you need to replace the speaker of your TomTom Go 60 S, use this guide. After removing the covering for the device, the button cell battery will be located underneath the motherboard.

Before you begin the repair, turn off the device and disconnect the battery from the motherboard.

What you need

  1. TomTom Go 60 S Speaker Replacement, Speaker: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Use the iFixit opening tool to pry open the TomTom Go 60 S. Start from a corner and drag the tool around the device.

    • Disconnect the screen from the motherboard by removing the yellow ribbon connector from the socket.

    • Remove all six screws from the motherboard with a Philips #000 screwdriver.

    • Disconnect the battery and speaker ribbon cables from the motherboard.

    • Use a spudger to remove the speaker from back case.
