What you need

  1. Samsung RF28R7201SG Refrigerator Control Board Replacement, Unplug your refrigerator: step 1, image 1 of 1
    • Unplug your refrigerator before you begin your repair.

    • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the five screws securing the board access panel to the back of the refrigerator:

    • Four 14.8 mm-long screws

    • One 12.3 mm-long screw

    • Remove the board access panel.

    • The control board has nine wire connectors:

    • Three connectors along the top edge

    • One connector along the right edge

    • One connector along the bottom edge

    • Four connectors along the left edge

    • During reassembly, use the second image to make sure you've reconnected all nine connectors.

    • Pull and disconnect each of the nine connectors from the control board.

    • Some connectors may have a locking tab. Squeeze the wide sides of the connector to unlock it, then pull to disconnect it.

    • Move the wires away from the control board so it can slide out of its recess.

    • Use your fingers to push up the plastic lip securing the top edge of the control board to the refrigerator.

    • Swing the control board out and remove it.
