PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 1-1.5 GHz Airport Extreme Card Replacement

Introduction

Install an Airport Extreme 802.11g card internally.

What you need

  1. PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 1-1.5 GHz Airport Extreme Card Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Use a coin to turn the battery locking screw 90 degrees to the right.

    • Lift the battery out of the computer.

  2. PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 1-1.5 GHz Airport Extreme Card Replacement, Airport Extreme Card: step 2, image 1 of 1

    • Flip down the door on the right side of the battery compartment.

  4. PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 1-1.5 GHz Airport Extreme Card Replacement: step 3, image 1 of 1

    • Use a spudger or flathead screwdriver to disconnect the Airport antenna from the card.

  5. PowerBook G4 Aluminum 12" 1-1.5 GHz Airport Extreme Card Replacement: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Grasp the plastic tab and pull the card out all the way.
