Introduction

This guide will show you how to access the internals of your Pine64 PinePhone. You will be able to access the following by opening the back cover

Micro SD card slot
Nano SIM slot
Battery (3000mAh)

Before you add or remove anything into the slots, please ensure your Pine64 PinePhone is powered off.

1. Step 1 Place the device facing down
  Place the device face down on a non-scratch surface.
  
  Ensure the device is powered off before removing the case as removing the battery or making internal changes could cause physical or hardware damage to the phone

3. Step 2 Remove the back cover
  Using a fingernail pry open the back cover off with the bottom left indent.
  
  A notch to easily remove the cover is located at the bottom left of the PinePhone with the back cover facing the user.
