Replace the speaker

What you need

  1. Repairing Palm Treo 600 Speaker, Back Case: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • On the back of the device, locate the 3 rubber plugs, and use a plastic spudger to remove them.

    • Use the T6 Torx Screwdriver to remove all 4 screws.

    • You have to first remove the Stylus to access the 4th screw.

  4. Repairing Palm Treo 600 Speaker: step 3, image 1 of 2 Repairing Palm Treo 600 Speaker: step 3, image 2 of 2

    • Using a plastic opening tool, carefully separate the front and back cases.

    • Note: The antenna will detach from the phone.

  5. Repairing Palm Treo 600 Speaker, Speaker: step 4, image 1 of 1

    • Using the spudger, pull the speaker straight up.

  6. Repairing Palm Treo 600 Speaker: step 5, image 1 of 1

    • Gently pull the rubber coating off of the speaker.
