Introduction

If the speaker on your phone has a popping noise or has stopped working, you might need to replace it. Use this guide to replace the speaker on your Motorola Moto Z Play.

Power off your phone before attempting any repairs.
  • Power off your phone before attempting any repairs.

  • The screen is held on with a strong adhesive that must be heated prior to prying the screen off. The longer you heat the screen, the easier it will be to remove.

  • If the glass is broken, tape over the display to prevent injuries and reduce cleanup during the repair.

  • Heat around the edges of the screen with an iOpener, or hair dryer, for 2-3 minutes to soften the adhesive.
