LG Optimus V Antenna Replacement

What you need

  1. LG Optimus V Antenna Replacement, Battery: step 1, image 1 of 1

    • Turn the LG Optimus V over, so that the back cover is facing upward.

    • Locate the opening above the camera.

    • Use a spudger to detach the back cover.

    • Gently remove the battery with your spudger.

    • Remove the six screws on the silver casing.

    • Use the plastic opening tool to remove the silver casing.

    • Use a plastic opening tool to remove each area holding the parts together.

    • Use a plastic opening tool to remove the small black and yellow piece that reads Y3114C.

    • Use a plastic opening tool to pry off the camera.

  8. LG Optimus V Antenna Replacement, Antenna: step 7, image 1 of 1

    • This part circled in red is the antenna

  9. LG Optimus V Antenna Replacement: step 8, image 1 of 1

    • Solder off the antenna and solder on the new one. The antenna is now replaced.
