Introduction

Use this guide to replace the rear camera in your Huawei P10 smartphone. When reassembling your phone apply new adhesive where it is necessary.

Switch off your phone. Remove the two Pentalobe P2 screws at the bottom. Remove the SIM card tray.

Insert a plastic opening tool between the display and the case starting at the bottom area of your phone. Carefully pry the display with its parts out of the case. After you pried out the bottom end, use the opening tool to open the clamps on both sides.

Don't open the phone all the way, yet. The cable for the standby and volume buttons is still connected to the back cover. Swing open the phone backwards.

Remove the Phillips #000 screw. Use tweezers to remove the metal plate. Use a spudger to disconnect the battery flex cable.

Use tweezers to loosen the bottom end of the adhesive strip, that holds down the flex connector of the rear facing camera. Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the camera flex cable. Carefully remove the rear camera.

HI, I need to understand why many of us owners of the Huawei P10 has problems with the camera that does not focus or each photo is always blurred and it takes a side kick to fix it temporarily, then I would also know if changing the camera solve the problem. Thank you.
