Introduction

Use this guide to replace the rear camera in your Huawei P10 smartphone. When reassembling your phone apply new adhesive where it is necessary.

Switch off your phone.
  • Switch off your phone.

  • Remove the two Pentalobe P2 screws at the bottom.

  • Remove the SIM card tray.

Insert a plastic opening tool between the display and the case starting at the bottom area of your phone.
  • Insert a plastic opening tool between the display and the case starting at the bottom area of your phone.

  • Carefully pry the display with its parts out of the case.

  • After you pried out the bottom end, use the opening tool to open the clamps on both sides.

  • Don't open the phone all the way, yet. The cable for the standby and volume buttons is still connected to the back cover.

  • Swing open the phone backwards.

  • Use a spudger to disconnect the power- and volume button flex cable.

The cable is for the standby and volume buttons, not for the fingerprint sensor!

  • Remove the Phillips #00 screw.

  • Use tweezers to remove the metal plate.

  • Use a spudger to disconnect the battery flex cable.

  • Use tweezers to remove the metal shield.

  • Use tweezers to loosen the bottom end of the adhesive strip, that holds down the flex connector of the rear facing camera.

  • Use the flat end of a spudger to disconnect the camera flex cable.

  • Carefully remove the rear camera.

HI, I need to understand why many of us owners of the Huawei P10 has problems with the camera that does not focus or each photo is always blurred and it takes a side kick to fix it temporarily, then I would also know if changing the camera solve the problem. Thank you.
