Performing a force restart should not delete any data, but can be helpful if your iPhone X is frozen, won't turn on, or needs troubleshooting.

    • Quickly press and release the volume-up button (1).

    • Quickly press and release the volume-down button (2).

    • Finally, press and hold the side button (3) until the Apple logo appears, and then release.

    • The screen will temporarily go dark as the iPhone shuts down and reboots. Keep holding the button until you see the  logo.

You saved my day. My iphoneX did not respond to anything after connect with the itune. I tried to shut down by holding volume up/down + side button but it didn’t work. So I tried your method and it worked!!! Thank you so much

This is a temporary solution whenever my iphone gets unresponsive i used this method but after some time it again starts doing same laggy and unresponsive behaviour
