If the laptop will not show anything when you initially turn it on, and you have allowed it charge for some time use this guide to replace the battery.

Release the switch on the bottom of the laptop underneath the battery by pushing it to the left.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.
For optimal performance, after completing this guide, calibrate your newly installed battery.
Take your e-waste to an R2 or e-Stewards certified recycler.
