Introduction
If your 8BitDo Pro 2 controller trigger is unresponsive or not registering pressure correctly, the trigger mechanism may need to be replaced. This guide will walk you through removing and installing the trigger on your controller.
The trigger is responsible for registering pressure input during gameplay, allowing for control in actions such as aiming, braking, or accelerating. Over time, internal wear can affect how smoothly and accurate the trigger functions are.
Before using the guide, try cleaning the area. You should also test the controller on different devices and ensure it is set to the correct input mode, see the troubleshooting page for more information.
This repair will require you to open the controller. Before beginning, make sure to power off your controller.
