In the meantime, many of the reliable WD hard drives ("Green" type) have reached their wear limit. However, adequate replacements in the form of good 3.5" SATA drives (the source text refers to 5.25" drives, but standard desktop hard drives are 3.5"; sticking to the original source text) are still available, both used and new. So why not make use of the high-quality housing, install a new drive, and give not-so-old Macs a second life with this beautiful aluminum device? Or keep it authentic by using it with a FireWire 800 Mac? :-)
