Identification & Background ¶
The Sanyo VPC-X1200 is most commonly found in red. It's model number is printed on the face of the camera. Parts are not compatible with any other models made that are similar to the VPC-X1200. It is a 12.1 Megapixel digital camera, with 3x voom, 2.7" LCD, lithium-ion battery, and is USB capable. It can be identified by the X1200 underneath the blue sticker or by the white sticker on the battery cover that says VPC-X1200. It is also called the Sanyo Xacti VPC-X1200.
Two possible upgrades are the battery, which needs to be replaced when it looses it's ability to hold a charge. The memory can also be upgraded with a larger SD card (the camera does not come with one, but does come with 32Mb of internal memory)
The camera comes with a built-in Lithium Ion battery, and uses an external AC adapter to charge the battery.
The VPC-X1200 was discontinued due to a frequently occurring "System Error" which disables the camera.
