Released in 2004 by Sprint, the Sanyo PM-8200 is an upgrade from two previous Sanyo models. The flip phone was originally sold for $279. It features a camera lens with flash, a speaker, and a 1.0-inch display screen on the front cover. Inside, the phone has a toggle for navigation and a bright 1.8-inch LCD screen. There are volume keys, the push-to-talk key, and a headset jack on the side of the phone. The Sanyo PM-8200's slim design is convenient and fits easily into pockets and purses.

The Sanyo PM-8200 is a flip phone and an updated model of the Sanyo SPC-8100. It was available in silver, midnight blue, and deep red.

You can distinguish the PM-8200 by the Sprint logo printed in the center of the bottom bezel and the Sanyo logo printed just below it on the front of the flip cover. It also features a thin retractable antenna. The model and serial numbers are printed on a label under the removable battery or on the bottom of the device.
