Background
Announced May 12th, 2026, via a Lenovo press release alongside the ThinkPad L14 Gen 7 and ThinkPad L16 Gen 3, the seventh generation X13 is Lenovo's 13.3-inch ultralight business laptop, with a starting weight under 1 kg. It replaces the ThinkPad X13 Gen 6. Like the previous generation, it comes in Intel and AMD versions that share the same chassis, ports, and display options.
The Intel X13 Gen 7 uses Intel Core Ultra Series 3 (Panther Lake) processors, up to the Core Ultra 7 365 or 356H, with integrated Intel graphics. The AMD X13 Gen 7 uses AMD Ryzen AI 400 or Ryzen AI PRO 400 processors, up to the Ryzen AI 7 PRO 450, with integrated AMD Radeon 840M or 860M graphics. Memory is soldered LPDDR5X, up to 64 GB on the Intel version and 32 GB on the AMD version. Both have a 13.3-inch WUXGA 60 Hz IPS display, a single M.2 2280 SSD slot, a 41 Wh or 54.7 Wh battery, and optional 4G LTE or 5G. Lenovo lists the battery, SSD, WWAN module, and bottom cover as customer-replaceable.
Lenovo listed US availability starting in May 2026, at an estimated starting price of $1,499 USD. It comes in Eclipse Black.
Identification
Like other ThinkPad products, the X13 Gen 7 is readily identifiable by the make and model number printed on the bottom cover, in order to aid in finding compatible parts and repair procedures. The same information is available in Windows under Lenovo Vantage, or in the BIOS setup under Main.
