Background and Identification ¶

In August of 2009, Kodak released the EasyShare M381 camera model to have a compatible camera for the new Windows 7 software. Kodak wanted to make a model that was small enough to fit in a pocket, yet still produce high-quality photos.

In contrast with its previous model, the M381 had many new and improved innovations. The M381 has a 12.2 megapixel resolution, and a 5x optical zoom with automatic focus adjustments, as well as a 5x digital zoom, allowing the user to achieve maximum photo quality.

This camera is also able to send photos directly to printers by using Bluetooth technology. Therefore, the user does not have to upload their photos to a computer in order to print them. The M381 can be hooked to the computer if desired as well, simply by using a USB cable. This allows the user to store their photos in JPEG format, freeing up memory on their camera or memory card for more photos.

The M381 has a built-in flash that can be turned on and off according to desired lighting conditions. It also has many light exposure settings, so that it can be used in various lighting conditions, such as at night, or in bright sunlight.

Though there are many technical differences between the M381 and other models, as listed above, the main difference between the M381 and its predecessors is its AC adaptor charge. It has a rechargeable battery that is built to last all day long, unlike its predecessors that required new batteries between uses.

Kodak is very confident in their product. However, if something goes wrong, Kodak offers an automatic one year warranty with purchase. This page will guide you through repairing common issues that may arise. As a last resort, if you are not satisfied with device performance, they will be happy to fix any issues that may arise.
