Background and Identification ¶

The Fujifilm FinePix S8200 was released in the Spring of 2013. It is a part of Fujifilm’s FinePix S series of digital cameras.

The FinePix S8200 is a type of camera called a bridge camera. This basically means it offers something for everyone, bridging the gap between a high-end professional camera and an entry-level point-and-click camera.

A notable feature of the FinePix S8200 is its powerful zoom feature. The camera has a 40X optical zoom with a resolution of 16.2 MP. It also has an electronic viewfinder, 3.0 inch LCD monitor, and full HD movie capability.

The FinePix S8200 is identifiable as a member of the FinePix S-series of cameras by the label on the top of the camera. The top label clearly displays the text FINEPIX S. On the bottom of the camera, you can find a sticker with the specific model number, which reads FinePix S8200.
