Identification and Background ¶

The Flip Video is a portable video camera manufactured by Pure Digital Technology. It is based on the original Pure Digital Point and Shoot camcorder released on May 1, 2006. Pure Digital Technology renamed the device the Flip Video a year later.

It has a 1.50" screen and can record up to 30 minutes of video. It has a USB port that "flips" out to directly plug the device into a computer. Since the videos are saved as movie files, they are easy to transfer and manage. The Flip Video runs on two AA batteries and has internal memory.

It can be identified by the model name. F130W is the 30 minute model, and the F160W is the 60 minute model.
