Motorisation (1.0 FireFly N3 BSG)
The Fiat 500 Hybrid is available with a single light hybrid inline three-cylinder engine mounted to the front of the vehicle. The engine itself is fed by a multipoint indirect injection with distribution ensured through the chain.

Note:
ACEA C6 is compatible with ACEA C5. It's worth opting for the latter, as more tests are required, including a timing chain elongation test. The Fiat standard requested is currently hard to find.

Ethanol / E85
At first glance, the engine seems to be a good candidate for easy conversion to ethanol, thanks to its indirect injection and rather high compression ratio (12:1).
The N3 engine, not BSG, but identical in specification to the N3 BSG, is used in Brazil as a Flex Fuel engine. It produces a few more horsepower and more torque at a slightly lower rpm.
