Background
The DeWalt Jobsite DCR010 is a rugged jobsite Bluetooth speaker designed for use at work sites. It was introduced in late 2018 at a retail price $99 USD, and was sold without a battery.
The speaker has a 100ft Bluetooth range and can also play via an auxiliary cable. The speaker has a rugged construction style with a sturdy carry handle and uses DeWalt's proprietary external batteries for portable use, but also can function corded without a battery. The speaker doesn't have an official IP rating, and isn't advertised as water- or dust-proof.
The device comes with a three-year limited warranty that provides free repairs for any faulty materials or workmanship discovered after purchase; however, it does not cover any damage that may have been caused by normal usage/wear.
Reviews praise the speaker’s drop durability, high volume-to-size ratio, and power efficiency. Some users report 12 to 14+ hours of continuous audio playback on a standard 20V 5.0Ah battery. One of the major user complaints is that plugging the speaker into AC wall power does not charge an attached battery; the cord powers the unit directly but lacks internal charging circuitry.
It stands in the middle of DeWalt's speaker lineup, smaller than the DCR028B and much larger than the Jobsite Pro Wearable Speaker.
Identification
The speaker is identifiable by its long carry handle, DeWalt branding on the grille, and the yellow and black color scheme. The model number "DCR010" is printed on both of the labels on the rear of the device.
