Background and Identification
The Acer Aspire One 722 is a diverse netbook that was released in July 2008.The original manufacturer for Acer Inc. was Quanta Computer but in 2009, the Acer Aspire One line shifted over to other manufacturers. Acer ended their production of the Aspire One series in 2013 because consumers favored tablets, which led to a decline in sales. This model of the Acer Aspire is identified by its number 722. Each Acer has their own number and this is how to differentiate this netbook from others.
The Acer Aspire One 722 is an 11.6 inch netbook that comes in a sleek black or blue color. This netbook weighs in at 1.46 kg, which is the typical weight of a netbook of its size. This design is different compared to other Acer Aspire netbooks because its cover is molded plastic that is sculpted to resemble a series of ripples. The Aspire One 722 has improved from the 10 inch Acer Aspire 522. It has a LED-backlit 1366x768 screen, which gives the same display as a standard 15 inch notebook. It also has two speakers instead of one, and battery life that last up to 7 hours compared to the 522’s battery life of 6 hours. Even though they stopped producing these netbooks does not mean that they need to go to waste.
