Background
APC Back-UPS is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply (UPS) produced by American Power Conversion (APC). It is designed to provide backup power to electronic devices during power outages or other types of power disturbances, such as voltage sags or surges. The APC Back-UPS also provides protection against power fluctuations, spikes, and surges that can damage electronic devices.
The Back-UPS typically consists of a battery backup unit, which plugs into a wall outlet, and one or more outlets for electronic devices to plug into. The battery backup unit contains a rechargeable battery that stores energy to provide power to the connected devices during an outage or disturbance. When the power goes out, the battery backup unit switches over to battery power, allowing the devices to continue running for a period of time depending on the power requirements and battery capacity.
