iPod was stepped on will not start?

Ipod touch 3rd generation 32gb, stepped on will not start even after charging.

Shannon Livingstone, the only thing that I would do right now, is to disassemble it and evaluate for any damage. Check your front assembly as well as your logic board for any visible damage. Make sure that all your cables are connected. At this point, without a visible inspection, anything could be the reason for this.
