Does not play PS3 games or BR discs, but plays PS2 games and movies.

Plays No PS3 Games and No Blu-Ray Discs.. but DOES play PS2 Games and DVD Movies... tried cleaning no change.. what can be done to determine if it is the laser or something worse?

EDIT* I just bought a used replacement blu-ray drive off of eBay and it works now. If you have an answer though would still be appreciated.

mis-aligned lasers, or malfunctioning diodes can cause this.

The Blueray Player i think have a Dvd lens and a Blueray Lens. So the Blueray part of it must be dead? I am unsure but it a idea.
