MacBook not charging, and MagSafe Board replaced.

I have an early 2006 Macbook that is says it is not charging. Also, I do not get a POST chime upon startup, however the computer does load the OS with no problems at all. I have:

-replaced the battery which worked until the charge was gone, but it still would not charge.

-tried another known good battery, again the same thing happened here.

-tried multiple power adapters

-did the Apple Hardware test twice. Both times it came back with no problems.

-reset the SMC twice

-reset the PRAM twice

-replaced the MagSafe Board

-verified Disk

No matter what I have done, the computer just will not charge, but it will work off a good battery when unplugged. As soon as I unplug it with a drained battery it dies immediately. I'm thinking logic board, but don't know how, or if, that is the issue.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Don't know what I was thinking... other than, obviously, you hadn't replaced the magsafe board. Start the Hardware Test holding down the D key. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1509

Apple says to bring back the chime:

Reset my SMC as per this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3964

1. Shut down the computer.

2. Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.

3. On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.

4. Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.

5. Press the power button to turn on the computer.

Once we did that, we then reset the NVRAM as per: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379

If you can't get the power supply to work, you can't reset the SMC... I agree sounds like a logic board problem.
