iPhone restored and Wifi antenna replaced wont turn on

I fixed the wifi antenna(although the actual problem was the emi shield) on my friends iphone which was pretty easy so I reassembled the iPhone then plugged it into my wall charger. It was restored so I went through the normal steps of selecting location time and everything then it said connect to iTunes instead of letting me do it via wifi. So I unplugged the iPhone and the phone turned off. I plugged it into my laptop and the apple logo came up..and went right back off, and a few hours layers it is still turning itself on and off. I've tried everything Incouding the dfu mode steps but I'm having no luck. Help would be greatly appreciated

try to take the battery out and put the iphone in the charger. If it then starts up, the battery is defective
