@reviewmaster you are not giving us enough information on what is going on with your Y27. Most common issue for a non-working volume button is a bad volume/power button flex cable. Use something like this video to get to the power button. It is adhered to the frame via the adhesive on the flex. Pull it gently off from the frame after you removed the main board.
While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit.
