WD 2 TB RE-4 WD2003FYYs compatible with my iMac?

Hi all,

Can I install the above WD internal HD in the above-described imac?

Checked the questions/answers. Only answer that seemed applicable was one that said one could use 'just about' any sata drive. But this one is an enterprise drive. Just want to be certain before I open the package--can't return it.

Western Digital has changed their lineup with a new series of HD's.

This an older HD. Looking at the WD spec sheet I don't think this is a workable drive for an iMac. I would recommend reviewing Western-Digial Store for a better option.

Thanks for the answer, Dan. However, the computer in question is an Imac, which is a desktop, not a laptop. Does this make a difference?
