It will be stored in your recent backup through iTunes. Of course, only if you had that number on your phone prior to backing up your phone. Do a google search for some of the iPhone backup recovery tools.

Thank-you for taking the time to reply - much appreciated.

Sorry to appear thick but how do I find the contacts back up? I did back up about month ago (and had number then) and when I turn on i tunes my music is there but nil else - I have found photos (by accident so a big sigh of relief there) but I cannot see any button marked contacts....

Tried mobile me which has become i cloud and it says it has nothing in contacts folder......

Thank-you again for your time

This has done the trick - got my contacts back and managed to speak to person.What a brilliant piece of soft ware - worth every penny. Will be telling all my i phone user friends about it. I cannot thank you enough - I would never have found this without your assistance - really really helpful and I now have all my phone numbers back. What a relief! You have been brilliant - thanks again so very very much- Libby

Hey,

was looking for a solution to a pretty similar case.

I had an Android device before,

and recently joined your club.

The most difficult part of it was transferring my contacts from several accounts to iPhone,

and obviously getting them backed up on my cloud.

Anyhow found several Apps that provides you with such solution,

however unfortunately there's no decent solution for free.

If you are as desperate as I am to get this issue resolved,

try to purchase an App called 1.2.3 Contacts Manager.

Even though you will have to pay for it,

you will probably be pretty satisfied with the result.

cheers =)
