iPhones 3gs broken down

Alright 2 days Ago I was driving my boss's car I plugged my Iphone 3gs on charge and suddenly the Charger keept going on and off and I could hear the noises of charging and turning of and I just left it for 20 mins and thought It would be allgood when I got back to work unplugged my phone, it was turned off and not turning back on I have Tried so many ways to make it turn on I brought a new battery of trademe and replaced it and still not working did alot of research and nothing is helping me out with fixing it I would really appreciate if someone could help me out thanks !

If your not getting power at all the main fuse on the mother board could be blown. Have you tried plugging it into the wall charger to see if it will turn on? That would eliminate the dock connector shorted out. Or Maybe a bum battery. I got a bum one from eBay and seller wouldn't contact me back. The fuse is a small and rectangular shaped, green in color below the vibrating motor.

Yeah bro I tried Wall charger still no signal at all . yeah Fuse kinda sounds right. where do I get the fuse from though?

Before throwing time and money at this I think you should be systematic. Clean out the USB port.....1. Try a hard reset(power+home for 10sec), 2.check battery has a charge greater than 2.2mA or it will not charge, (if the battery is ok it should power the phone on regardless of charging)3. Test fuses near vibrate connection 4.replace dock connector. Jumping straight to replace fuses without testing anything or doing easily cheap things first may miss the problem.

I agree. I was meaning more a visual inspection of the fuse. If you have a nice enough friend to let you use their phone to try switching parts with theirs, that would be the cheapest way. I was lucky enough to have that.
