My space bar is sticking - how do I fix it?

I spilt a drink on my macbook pro and now the spacebar is sticking. It still works but there is a lot more resistance than usual and it doesn't make the same clicking noise it once did. Is there any way I can fix it myself - maybe by removing the key safely and cleaning it before replacing it - or do I need to take it to an apple store? Is this something that would cost me a lot of money to fix?

Any help you could give me would be very much appreciated. Thank you!

Edit: I've also noticed that the keys around it are sticking too, and that the ones that are sticking aren't being illuminated. Perhaps I need to replace my whole keyboard?

You may have a chance to fix the sticky keys, but the backlight is not so promising. A little bit of Goof Off or Goo Gone on a cotton swab may help get rid of sticky residue that's causing your keys to stick. Because of the unibody construction, you cannot remove any of the keys individually; you can't even separate the keyboard from the upper case. You might be able to fix the stickiness, but if the backlight is bugging you, you'll need a new upper case. If you tell us which model of 15" unibody you have, I can point you to the correct part.
