My screen turns on but doesn't show anything. I don't know what exactly the problem is, but it did fall on the floor right before it stopped showing me anything. I can still take photos and hear the different commands and settings going on, but I can't see anything on the screen...

@berenicema99657 this "did fall on the floor right before it stopped showing" and the fact that the camera still functions normally, leads me to suggest that you replace the LCD display. To work on your camera use the Nikon Coolpix S550 Service Manual right up to page D9.
You can now find the parts list for this camera under the Documents Header on this page Nikon Coolpix S550 which will have the part number for the LCD display.
While you work on your camera, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same issues with their camera. It's easy and fun to create these guides. https://ifixit.com/Guide/new The iFixit community will appreciate this.
