iPod does not turn on

tried to charge for 24 hrs. and still wont turn on. whats wrong with it?

noemi, I do not think we have enough information to give you a definite answer. Start with where you are charging from. Your USB port on a computer may not supply enough amperage to charge a depleted battery. try and charge it on an AC adapter. Make sure that you have a good working cable. Check your dock connector. Make sure that the pins are not bend, broken or corroded. Clean the dock connector with some isopropyl alcohol and a few puffs of compressed air. If all that checks out, try to change your battery. It is possible that our battery is past its lifetime and will not charge anymore. When you do change it, make sure that you gently pull the connector of the battery cable straight up. Use a paperclip bend into an L_Shape to get this accomplished. Hoe this helps, good luck.
